Freeport Insists Divest 51 Percent Share



    The middle way of the government to give special mining business license (IUPK) with a clause similar to the Freeport contract of work IUPK Indonesia did not produce results. Freeport reject the use of export licenses and even lay off workers.

     EMR Minister Ignasius Jonan said the government has given equal rights to contract work in IUPK Freeport. Clauses about the stability of investment and taxation that apply during the transitional period negotiated transfers. However, Freeport refused IUPK and demand still apply the work contract.
