CIA intercepts through the Smart TV and Smartphone

Wikileaks re-create commotion. Tuesday (7/3) they released the documents belonging to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). In a document entitled Vault- 7 is presented that the spy agency's United States (US) that has leveraged smart TY smartphone and computer networks to spy on their owners.

The document, apparently, comes from the Cyber ​​Intelligence Center CIA in Langley, Virginia, and the office of the US Consulate in Frankfurt, Germany.

According to Wikileaks, almost all CIA cyber weapon had been stolen. The weapons to hack it is now in the hands of criminals or foreign spies. "This is an outstanding collection, which number more than a few hundred million lines of code, giving owners the ability to hacking owned entire CIA," wrote Wikileaks.

Legislator Democrat Ted Lieu directly called for immediate investigation. "We have to know, if the CIA really have lost control over the means of its hackers, who may have (now) and how we will protect the privacy of the American population," said legislator who came from California.

Some of the documents uploaded by Wikileaks show that the CIA has made more than a thousand malware system, either a virus or some other software that can step in and take personal electronic devices. Being targeted is an iPhone, Android, Microsoft software, and smart TVs manufactured by Samsung.

The CIA also studying to pave the electronic control systems of cars and trucks. Wikileaks also claims that the CIA has been working closely with other intelligence agencies in the US and abroad to develop a system to hack WhatsApp, Telegram, Weibo (Chinese Twitter), and Signal.

The CIA was able to hack the messages shortly before being encrypted. Encryption is a method that makes the data into code so difficult hacked. CIA must master the first phone with malware that they have, subsequently pave the applications.

Dalam dokumen berjudul Vault- 7 tersebut dipaparkan bahwa badan mata-mata Amerika Serikat (AS) itu telah memanfaatkan smart TY smartphone, dan jaringan komputer untuk memata-matai pemiliknya. 

Mereka juga memiliki alat untuk mengontrol kendaraan dari jarak jauh. Terdapat hampir 9 ribu dokumen pada 2013-2016 yang diunggah Wikileaks. Mereka menyebut itu sebagai publikasi material intelijen paling besar sepanjang sejarah. Dokumen-dokumen tersebut didapat dari data CIA yang bocor ke Wikileaks. Dokumen itu, tampaknya, berasal dari Pusat Cyber Intelijen CIA di Langley, Virginia, dan kantor Konsulat AS di Frankfurt, Jerman. 

Menurut Wikileaks, hampir seluruh senjata cyber CIA telah dicuri. Senjata-senjata untuk meretas itu kini berada di tangan kriminal atau mata-mata asing. Ada pula yang berada di tangan mantan hacker dan kontraktor yang dipekerjakan pemerintah AS. Salah satu di antara merekalah yang membocorkan dokumen-dokumen itu ke Wikileaks dan berakhir dengan diunggah Selasa lalu (7/3).

"Ini adalah koleksi yang luar biasa, yang jumlahnya lebih dari beberapa ratus juta baris kode, memberikan pemiliknya seluruh kemampuan peretasan yang dimiliki CIA," tulis Wikileaks.

Legislator Demokrat Ted Lieu langsung meminta agar segera dilakukan penyelidikan. ”Kami harus tahu, jika benar CIA telah kehilangan kontrol atas alat-alat peretas-nya, siapa yang mungkin memiliki (sekarang) dan bagaimana kita akan melindungi privasi dari penduduk Amerika,” ujar legislator yang berasal dari California itu.

Beberapa dokumen yang diunggah oleh Wikileaks itu menunjukkan bahwa CIA telah membuat lebih dari seribu sistem malware, baik berupa virus maupun beberapa software lain yang bisa masuk dan mengambil alih perangkat elektronik personal. Yang disasar adalah iPhone, Android, software Microsoft, dan smart TV yang diproduksi Samsung. 

CIA juga sedang mempelajari untuk meretas sistem pengontrol elektronik dari mobil dan truk. Wikileaks juga mengklaim bahwa CIA telah bekerja sama dengan lembaga-lembaga intelijen lain di AS maupun luar negeri untuk mengembangkan sistem untuk meretas WhatsApp, Telegram, Weibo (Twitter China), dan Signal. 

CIA mampu meretas pesan-pesan sesaat sebelum dienkripsi. Enkripsi adalah metode yang membuat data menjadi kode-kode sehingga sulit diretas. CIA harus menguasai perangkat teleponnya lebih dulu dengan malware yang mereka miliki, selanjutnya meretas aplikasi-aplikasi itu.
