Concentrate producers such as PT Freeport Indonesia and PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara still hold export because the commodity prices are relatively low. Whereas the export quota given by the government should be spent within one year.

Based on data from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), the realization of export of concentrate producers is far below the recommendation given by the government. For example, PT Sebuku Iron Lateritic, has received a recommendation of 6.3 million. ton in March 2017. But the realization until March 2018 and then only 1.2 million tons.
Then PT Kapuas Prima Coal, which received a 36,000 ton recommendation in March 2017, realized only 30,000 tons.
"The realization is still low because the price of this commodity is also low, so they hold back from exporting until the price recovered," said Agung Pribadi, Head of Communications Service Bureau of Public and Cooperation of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Only PT Freeport Indonesia has succeeded in maximizing the export share of copper concentrate in one year, published on February 17, 2017. Freeport Indonesia's export realization is as per the recommendation of 1.11 million tons.
On the other hand the Freeport copper concentrate export recommendation has been extended one year later on February 15, 2018 yesterday with a quota of 1.25 million tons. As of March 2018, the export realization reached 99,337 tons. Another gold miner, PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara, also does not use all copper concentrate export quota in one year.
Based on a recommendation published on February 17, 2017, Amman Mineral's quota of 675,000 tons of copper concentrate. The realization of 598,807 tons only. Similar to Freeport Indonesia, Amman Mineral has also received an export recommendation extension on February 15, 2018.
The quota is equated with the previous export realization, which is 598,807 tons. Until March 2018, the quota used was only 27,191 tons.

Freeport dan Amman Menahan Ekspor
Para produsen konsentrat seperti PT Freeport Indonesia dan PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara masih menahan ekspor karena harga komoditas tersebut relatif rendah. Padahal kuota ekspor yang diberikan pemerintah mesti dihabiskan dalam waktu satu tahun.
Berdasarkan data Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM), realisasi ekspor produsen konsentrat jauh di bawah rekomendasi yang diberikan oleh pemerintah. Misalnya, PT Sebuku Iron Lateritic, telah mendapatkan rekomendasi sebanyak 6,3 jut. ton pada Maret 2017. Namun realisasi sampai bulan Maret 2018 lalu hanya 1,2 juta ton.
Lalu PT Kapuas Prima Coal yang mendapatkan rekomendasi 36.000 ton pada Maret 2017, realisasinya hanya 30.000 ton.
"Realisasi masih rendah karena harga komoditi ini juga rendah. Sehingga mereka menahan tidak melakukan ekspor sampai harga kembali pulih," kata Agung Pribadi, Kepala Biro Komunikasi Layanan lnformasi Publik dan Kerjasama Kementerian ESDM.
Hanya PT Freeport Indonesia yang berhasil memaksimalkan jatah ekspor konsentrat tembaga dalam satu tahun yang terbit pada 17 Februari 2017 lalu. Realisasi ekspor Freeport Indonesia sesuai rekomendasi, yakni sebanyak 1,11 juta ton.
Di sisi lain rekomendasi ekspor konsentrat tembaga Freeport telah diperpanjang satu tahun berikutnya pada 15 Februari 2018 kemarin dengan kuota sebanyak 1,25 juta ton. Hingga Maret 2018, realisasi ekspornya baru mencapai 99.337 ton. Penambang emas yang lain, PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara, juga tidak menggunakan seluruh jatah ekspor konsentrat tembaga dalam satu tahun.
Berdasarkan rekomendasi yang terbit pada 17 Februari 2017, kuota yang diberikan Amman Mineral sebanyak 675.000 ton konsentrat tembaga. Adapun realisasi sebanyak 598.807 ton saja. Sama halnya seperti Freeport Indonesia, Amman Mineral juga telah mendapatkan perpanjangan rekomendasi ekspor pada 15 Februari 2018.
Adapun kuota disamakan dengan realisasi ekspor sebelumnya, yakni sebanyak 598.807 ton. Hingga bulan Maret 2018, kuota yang terpakai hanya sebanyak 27.191 ton.
