The share of PT Freeport Indonesia for the Papuan Regional Government (Pemda) of 10% is still attractive. Regarding the polemic, the Ministry of BUMN actually handed over the settlement to the Ministry of Home Affairs (Ministry of Home Affairs).
Deputy Minister of Mining, Strategic Industry, and Media of the Ministry of BUMN, Fajar Harry Sampurno, said that, according to the master agreement in January last year, the Ministry of BUMN still insisted that the portion of shares owned by the Regional Government of Papua did not change.
Referring to the agreement document, the Papua Provincial Government gets a share of 3% and a 7% Mimika Regency Freeport stake. The Ministry of BUMN wants to get into the issue of the pull of shares in the Papua Regional Government.
"It is between them (the Provincial Government and the Regency Government) and their completion in the Ministry of Home Affairs. Until now they are still determining, BUMD is still noisy," he said when met at the Ministry of BUMN Office.
For information, the Papua Provincial Government, led by Lukas Enembe issued Regional Regulation Number 7/2018 concerning the Papua Limited Liability Company Divesting Mandiri. Article 15 states that the Papua Provincial Government receives Shares, 5.9% from the previous 3% and Mimika Regency Government only 3.1% of the previous 7%.
Fajar believes that the polemic of share rations will not disrupt the financial statements produced by Freeport Indonesia. Because, currently the portion of shares is still held by PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum (Inalum) as the holding holding company.
"Now legally the shares are still deposited. This year it should be completed (the establishment of BUMD)," he said.
The BUMN Ministry hopes that the polemic of Freeport's shares will not drag on, so that BUMD can be formed this year.

Pemda Papua Masih Ribut Soal Porsi Saham Freeport
