Inalum Explores Industrial Cooperation in China

Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Rini Soemarno continues to push the mining industry holding PT Inalum (Persero) to increase the added value of mining products in the country by carrying out rinsing. This was stated by Rini while doing her working visit to China.

In China, Rini met with several prospective Inalum strategic partners, one of them being Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Company Ltd., the world's largest producer of battery materials used for electric vehicles.

Rini said the exploration of the cooperation was carried out so that the mining industry holding could have strategic partners in the field of technology and development to accelerate the realization of mine removal in the country.
"The acceleration of the removal of the mining industry must be done immediately. This is in the interests of the people and the nation, the higher the added value of our mining products, the greater the benefits that can be felt by the people. I am optimistic that the mining industry holding will be able to realize its mandate with the help of related parties, "Rini said through a press release.
Accompanying Rini was Director of PT Inalum (Persero) Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Deputy of Mining, Strategic Industry, and Media of the Ministry of BUMN Fajar Harry Sampurno, Deputy of Financial Services, Survey Services and Consultant of the Ministry of BUMN Gatot Trihargo, and Special Staff of the Minister of BUMN Wianda Pusponegoro.

Menteri Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) Rini Soemarno terus mendorong holding industri pertambangan PT Inalum (Persero) untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah produk tambang di Tanah Air dengan melakukan penghiliran. Hal itu dikemukakan Rini saat melakukan kunjungan kerjanya ke Tiongkok. Di Tiongkok, Rini bertemu dengan beberapa calon mitra strategis Inalum, salah satunya Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Company Ltd, produsen terbesar di dunia untuk material baterai yang digunakan untuk kendaraan listrik.
Rini mengatakan penjajakan kerja sama dilakukan agar holding industri pertambangan bisa memiliki mitra strategis dalam bidang teknologi dan pengembangan untuk mempercepat realisasi penghiliran tambang di Tanah Air.
“Percepatan penghiliran industri tambang harus segera dilakukan. Ini untuk kepentingan rakyat dan bangsa, makin tinggi nilai tambah produk tambang kita, semakin besar manfaat yang dapat dirasakan rakyat. Saya optimistis holding industri pertambangan mampu mewujudkan mandatnya dengan bantuan pihak-pihak terkait,” kata Rini melalui siaran pers.
Turut mendampingi Rini, yaikni Dirut PT Inalum (Persero) Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Deputi Bidang Pertambangan, Industri Strategis, dan Media Kementerian BUMN Fajar Harry Sampurno, Deputi Bidang Usaha Jasa Keuangan, Jasa Survei dan Konsultan Kementerian BUMN Gatot Trihargo, dan Staf Khusus Menteri BUMN Wianda Pusponegoro. Ikut serta juga Direktur Utama PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati, Direktur Utama Antam Tbk Arie Arioetedjo, dan Direktur Utama PT Bukit Asain Tbk Arviyan Arifin.
Dirut PT Inalum (Persero) Budi Gunadi Sadikin mengatakan pertemuan dengan sejumlah CEO industri logam di Tiongkok untuk mendengarkan penjelasan tentang inclustri logam dan teknologinya.
“Juga untuk menjajaki berbagai peluang kerja sama yang sesuai rencana strategis kami dan membantu kami mempercepat terealisasinya penghiliran tambang untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat.”
Di Beijing, rombongan bertemu sejumlah CEO, antara lain CEO The Metallurgical Corporation of China untuk menjajaki kerja sama dalam industri EPC dan tambang kobalt/nikel serta CEO Beijing Easpring Material Technology untuk mempelajari industri Electric Vehicle terutama dalam pembuatan katode.
