Papua Provincial Government and District Government (Pemkab) Mimika has not received a 10% share of PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) divested shares. The reason is that the process of establishing a Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) as the holder of the share of the divestment shares is still hampered by internal discussions.
Director of PT Indonesia Papua Metal and Mineral (IPMM), Ricky Gunawan conveyed, the establishment of BUMD is still in the process of internal discussions between the Papua Provincial Government and Mimika Regency Government.
IPMM does not have the authority to intervene, so their position is only waiting for the internal resolution of the Papua Provincial Government and Mimika Regency Government.
"The establishment of BUMD is still in their internal process (Papua). The IPMM is just waiting," said Ricky Gunawan.
Later, the Papua Provincial Government and the Mikika Regency Government will indirectly own 10% of Freeport Indonesia's Shares, which are first accommodated through the IPMM.
Well, IPMM is a joint venture or joint venture between PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum (Inalum) and Papua BUMD. But until yesterday, the Papua Provincial Government and Mimika Regency Government had not answered the confirmation request from KONTAN.
Previously, President Director of Inalum Budi Gunadi Sadikin revealed that the process of establishing Papua BUMD had entered the finalization stage. In April, Budi said that his office had met with the Papua Provincial Government and Mimika Regency Government.

Jatah 10% Saham Freeport untuk Papua Masih Dibahas
Pemerintah Provinsi (Pemprov) Papua dan Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Mimika belum mendapatkan jatah 10% saham divestasi PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI). Alasannya, proses pembentukan Badan Usaha Milik Daerah (BUMD) sebagai penampung jatah saham divestasi itu masih terbentur pembahasan internal.
Direktur PT Indonesia Papua Metal dan Mineral (IPMM), Ricky Gunawan menyampaikan, pembentukan BUMD masih dalam proses pembahasan internal antara Pemprov Papua dan Pemkab Mimika. IPMM tidak memiliki wewenang melakukan intervensi, sehingga posisi mereka hanya menunggu penyelesaian internal Pemprov Papua dan Pemkab Mimika.
"Pembentukan BUMD masih dalam proses internal mereka (Papua). IPMM hanya menunggu," kata Ricky Gunawan.
