Victims of New Zealand Residents, Two Other Workers Injured

Armed Criminal Groups (ACG or KKB) are acting up again in Papua. On March 30, 2020, they fired on PT Freeport Indonesia's employees in the Kuala Kencana District, Mimika. "There was a shooting by an armed criminal group against three employees of PT Freeport Indonesia," said Kabidhumas Papua Regional Police Commissioner A. M, Kamal.

Kamal explained, the death toll was recorded as Fraeme Thomas Weal. The 57-year-old man is a citizen of New Zealand. While two injured victims named Jibril M.A. Bahar and Ucok Simanungkalit.

"The victims were evacuated to the Kuala Kencana Clinic for medical treatment," he explained.

Gabriel M.A. Bahar was injured in the abdomen and right thigh. Ucok Simanungkalit was injured in the elbow of the right hand and back. According to Kamal, ten minutes after the KKB fire was fired, the TNI-Polri personnel immediately moved to the scene. They hunt down the perpetrators.
